Indian e-commerce shipping isn't one market — it's two. Same-city delivery runs on hyperlocal fleets; intercity runs on national networks. A store that understands the split stops paying national rates for neighbourhood drops.
The two carrier classes
| Hyperlocal | National | |
|---|---|---|
| Players | Porter, Borzo | Shadowfax, Delhivery, nationals |
| Range | Within a city | Anywhere in India |
| Speed | 30 min – same day | 2–7 days |
| Pricing | Live per-trip quote | Zone slabs / contract cards |
| Best for | Same-city orders, urgent | Everything else |
Aggregator vs your own accounts
Two ways to access carriers. Platform/aggregator accounts give you instant coverage — no negotiations, no minimums, rates set by the platform's contract. Your own accounts (BYOK) win on unit economics once you have volume and a negotiated card — Pure Parcel supports both: plug in your credentials or use ours.

The setup path
Install Pure Parcel
Orders flow in — the dashboard becomes your order list.
Enable carriers
Start with the platform carriers for instant coverage; add your own accounts as contracts land.
Set pickup address
Every booking picks up from here — exact address, exact pincode.
Fund the wallet
Bookings debit a prepaid wallet — the quote you saw is the amount held, down to the paisa.
Quote per order
Every order → live comparison across enabled carriers → book the best rate.
Platform mode needs no courier contracts — carriers switch on like toggles. Your own accounts plug in when you have them.
See how →What the stack gets you beyond booking
Tracking normalised across carriers, COD amounts recorded per shipment, GST invoices on wallet top-ups, and a reconciliation view that catches what carriers over-billed. The boring parts are what make the cheap rates actually cheap.
The bottom line
Connect the store once, keep every carrier a toggle, and never choose between 'cheap' and 'fast' blind again — the order page shows both.
Ship every courier without leaving your store
Pure Parcel is the multi-courier layer for Indian stores — hyperlocal and national carriers in one booking flow.
